Push Hardware Issue (Broken Touch Strip?) -solvedfornow-

I'm having a problem with my recently received Push controller. Any kind of vibration on my desk, or if im playing pads, my touch sensitive strip decides to move up a whole octave. Another example:..
When I use the touch pad itself, it won't stay at a certain destination either, say I have 16 drums pads set up on C1 to D2, if i got up a whole other 16 column it will go there, but remain stuck there, I can no longer get to C1-D2 or any other 16 columns for that matter.
While Im playing an instrument, it moves up and down 1 "notch" then resets back to it's previous destination.. I tried turning it on and off, removing USB power/ AC power but alas no luck,, Any suggestions? is there a hard reset or anything i can try,, ? im hoping it isnt a hardware issue but by the looks of it it seems that way, being the touch pad moves when theres vibration on my desk....
edit: posting video soon

this video is me bumping my desk and the touch strip is going crazy.
Ok as an update basically I "massaged" i.e. pressed the touch strip with some force and it seems to straighten things out. i will update this thread if it happens again
