Currently the angle at which I normally look at push has to high of brightness in the non-lit pixels. Even from directly above it's not quite right. The weird thing is, it's perfect if you look at it from an angle behind push. So if you were looking at it from a normal standing or sitting position but push was upside down, the display is perfect in terms of contrast. The empty pixels aren't visible. But obviously nobody would be looking at it upside down.

Is there a way to adjust the display for the normal usage?

I haven't run across anything saying it can be changed..

To illustrate the point, here are a couple screenshots. Why is the LCD display designed to look at from the upside down position? Are people watching a performance from the front of the crowd supposed to get the optimal view?

Here's a shot from a normal sitting/standing position where you're behind Push (anywhere from 45 to 90 degree angle looking down). This picture doesn't actually capture how bad the background pixel display is, but it shows the idea (I'm sure your's is the same):


Here is a shot from about about a 120 degree angle (i.e., from looking at it upside down). This is the ideal contrast however nobody will ever be looking at the push display from this angle unless they are in the front row of a very intimate show!




Notice that the contrast is perfect in the second one, not the first.

Yeah, they must have, like how the knobs should have been placed below the screen so as to not to be blocking it when holding a knob.

You know, and I'm not totally sure, but if the display was in upside down, wouldn't all of the characters be upside down?

Nope.

so there has to be a lcd contrast parameter, my mpc has it!
they need to put on in the hold+user mode for pad sens....
there is a blank section just asking to have a contrast control.
why isnt it adjustable currently?????

i am noticing this exact same effect on my screen.

seems like maybe they just installed the clear plastic covering of the screen upside down.

wish we could get a word from ableton on this....

Hopefully ableton team can help us fix this, cause it s a little bit annoying & distracting .

I agree about your hands getting in the way but if the knobs were at the bottom of the screen, sitting in front of Push the knobs would obstruct the view.
A decision had to be made, I think it was the right one.. JMO

Viewing of the LCD screen pixelation is another thing that may have been overlooked?
