Syncing multiple computers in Live 9 is dreadfully UNSTABLE

After much trial & tribulation it is safe to say that the Ableton crew has successfully broken their magnificent program, again.

It seems anything after 9.0.2 is guaranteed a ticket to CRASH town when 2 computers are synced together. It can be anywhere from instantly, to a few minutes, or even an hour after the “master” hits play then the “slave” computer’s instance of Ableton will CRASH. Even Beta 9.0.3.4 addressed a “fix” however I’m regretfully here to say BULLSHIT. Even your current Beta is fucked. I write/produce with another person & our sets thrive on this feature (as we’ve done this for yearrrrs with Ableton successfully until Live9) I experienced enough glitches in v8 & was ready for a change and now this. I don’t give a damn how many badass new features you try to polish & market – If your shit doesn’t work, IT DOESN’T WORK. Sooooo now I’m back on the wagon with Ableton’s unstable & broken performances & I’m SERIOUSLY done with being frustrated over it. “OH WOW DISCO SKIN HOLY FUCK THIS IS AMAZING!!! Fuck you. Pay me. Fix your shit.

They yanked down the official, yet premature 9.0.3 release (nothing shocking) & announced it will be back up in a week (pffffff yeah right I’ll believe it when I see it) Hopefully the MIDI sync crash problem will be resolved with the newest Alpha update/ release. Also it’s impossible to revert back to a older version correct? (i.e. 9.0.1??) Surely I’m not this lucky & I’m just gonna have to “deal” with it huh? Yeah…tell that to my bank account who funded for this broken ass software.

Maybe the fix will come out by time the new shipment of Push’s start arriving around Christmas this year.

Rant over. Anyone else having the same issues? Feel free to bitch. It helps...a little.

:x

They said they hoped they would have a fix in the coming week.

And I think it should be possible to revert to an earlier version within a major release. For example, I'm at least 99% sure that 8.4 is backward compatible with 8.3 (but not earlier versions), so I would be surprised if 9.0.2 was not backward compatible with 9.0.1.
