I've got a big problem since yesterday on My Imac G5/10,3,9 set up.
It's not only with live, but i'd like to know if anyone got this problem..
I was cleaning the plug in folder in OSX and i've deleted a few demo version that i've downloaded since i've got my Imac..
So now when i launch LIVE there's a terminal window telling me this
"Assertion (false) failed in "Proxy.c", line 221"
It's like another program called "SIOUX" replaced LIVE..really strange problem
the program seems to be called SIOUX from metrowerk
I can't launch Live anymore and also Garage Band..
I'm quite new to OSX and never faced such a problem..
Help me (Obi wan Kenobi) you're my only hope!!!!!!
Thanks

Hello Commuter.

I´d suggest to run Apple`s Disk utility to repair your permissions and check your disk.

I am also having this same problem it seems a year later.

I have gone to disc utility and repaired the permissions but not sure what you mean by "check the disc".

All I see is repair disc and its whited out which means I am not able to do that anyway.

I talked with someone and this what he said "Sounds like extension conflict. Conflicts come from loading other software that use extensions that conflict with Ableton or Garageband. You mentioned installing some new software. If all else works on your Mac its that and not the hardware or a software OS corruption"

So is that true?

I really to have Live working again as I compose a lot not only as a hobby but for film too.

Thanks.
