Just saw this in the beta release notes:
It's now possible to browse user folders that were added to 'Places' in Live's Browser. Note that empty folders are hidden on Push.
Hoping that also means the vst folder, not at home so I cant try it out yet
Also some other fixes:
https://www.ableton.com/en/articles/liv ... ase-notes/
Hoping this fixes my weirdness issue where I have to restart my push sometimes because all the buttons stop working except the notes and it wont change tracks

I'm not the only one to get this then.

A step in the right direction! I can now see my places folder but only "PACKS" and "user library" and "current project" turns up, not my own folders! The relase nots says emty folders stay hidden, but my folders are not emty. Does somebody have an idea?

I was a bit puzzled by that also. Got a feeling it's very WIP.

well for me so far the beta seems to startup a bit quicker. One nice thing is it takes alot less time to detect turning push on/off as well as the startup freeze. Previously I noticed that on startup everything would hang with the midi lights lit up, like ableton was searching for devices and trying to load up the scripts, and this could take like 15sec. Now its down to like 1sec, so startup feels much faster because of this

This is def a step in the right direction!
Regarding folders, at 1st mine wouldn't show up but they show up in different modes.
So wen adding a track then browsing you will get user library and packs (because they will most likely contain intrument)
But when browsing for samples for an empty drum rack pad ALL folders will show up, which means all my custom drum libraries and maschine samples are in the browser! Awesome!
One thing (cause I haven't checked) but when browsing folders say to put a loop in and audio track clip, I'm not sure if the folders will show up? I'll check and report bck!
Over all.... This seems like a good and stable release!

This is still an issue, reported again to Support.

Just tried new beta. Man, this is much quicker. No complaints now at all.
But user places browsing from Push seems very limited. I'm not sure if it's still indexing everything in the background, or just ignoring it.
Still, it does keep getting better.
