Maschine Samples

Hey guys! I know everyone's sick of the whole Maschine vs. Push debate but I had a quick question regarding some people's opinions on Maschine. While writing music in Ableton, I've found one of my main problems to be finding and implementing the appropriate samples. Finding quality samples is one thing, but organizing them in Ableton and recalling them when I need them has been cumbersome for me and it's disrupting my creative process quite a bit. I've been looking at Maschine and it seems as though a dedicated controller and software for this could be useful.

Essentially what I'm asking is, how are Maschine's samples. Are they top quality? Are they diverse enough that I won't find myself seeking samples elsewhere? Also, how well is the organizational system? Would I be able to quickly find the samples with the sound I have in mind and quickly start implementing them?

Also, is the Maschine worth the extra $250 over the Maschine Mikro?

Thanks,
Charlie

Great samples, and I'd only recommend the Mikro for on the go, like portable bus/train/coffee tiny space. If you plan to mostly use it at home or for live performance, I'd go full. The screen is way more informative and the knobs are damn near essential for ease of access. I've seen too many people go with Mikro and quickly switch to full.

The samples, some are basic stuff, some are fully produced. Styles vary from classics, analog sounding, digital (even toys), some field recorded, artist kits, and acoustic. Organization with the tags is splendid.

Someone else will have to fill in on whether or not importing is easy too, but most likely yes.

Lastly, if you want a peek at one workflow, Pyramind has a session with Bass Kleph.

Go full. As far as the drum sounds are concerned I would consider it pretty top quality and quite varied as well... As far as instrument samples I'm not the one to ask...

That said after I got my Maschine up and running I imported about 8.5 gigs of drum libraries, I first tagged all the basics, kick, hh open and closed, snare, yada yada, then for the libraries I knew Id be using a lot I created custom subgroup tags like "kick-tech" or "kick-analog" whatever, took an entire afternoon with all the importing and tagging but its all saved and accessible forever
