We have released version 0.5 of MaxScore/LiveScore compatible with Max 6.1 and Live 9.

Not free really. I think you need to buy a JMSL licence for 50 $.

must have overlooked this - well $55 for a lic. thanks anyway.

That's $55 for a student license. $120 for developers in general.
That is odd, though. The end user isn't a developer. So, I'd expect the license LiveScore paid for to include provisions for distribution. Why would anyone license the right to develop with it if that wasn't the case?
Or am I misreading?

There is a special license for M4L users ($50).

Alternatively, there is also a free Max-based solution which works in M4L.
It's quite powerful but requires some Max programming.
