Ableton Live 8 and Scarlett 18i8 problem

Ableton Live only receives signals from the FRONT panel inputs, - not the back (there are four mono inputs on the back panel.
There are other people who've been having this problem, could someone help please ?
I've tried all the traditional methods. I don't know if it's the software problem, drivers which aren't up to date with Ableton or the other way around ...?
