I'm shure most of you already know. But I was just wondering if any fellow Live users will be attending? I saw them when they toured for Confield and that show was better than the actual album. From hearing a couple clips off of their new album this one should be even better

It's been a while (too long!) since I've spent any significant time in Live, but I'll be there

i'll be there for sure,
wish it was at 9:30 club though...
much better p.a.
black cat sounds like ass usually,
but i'm sure the show will more than make up for it.
see you there...

I agree with you DK. I saw Fantomas at the Black Cat and 9:30 club. Huge difference in clarity between the two venues. That bass is not gonna hit as good but its still better sounding than some other places. Besides it should be worth it to check the support acts. And also they will probably have some good cd's for sale at a good price.

yeah, it'd be great fun if autechre
smoked the rig at the cat...boomboombapboooom
*pop*....(insert cricket sound)...
......thank you and goodnight.....
i'd pay just to see that!
it's better to get cd's from the artist direct,
they get alot more from the purchase that way..
i'll be at the bar enjoying some irish carbombs throughout the evening,
feel free to join me for one...or five

bring your lighter because they sometimes switch of the lights so everybody can concentrate on the music.

i'll be there, too...
saw them on the confield tour. i also wish they'd booked the 930 for the same reasons. hey i might have an irish car bomb or 5, as well...
it's a shot of jameson/bailey's dropped into a half pint of guinness and chugged. there may be slight variations.

just saw them two weeks ago... fabulous, again. it was the day before the cd release though, and haven't had time to go out and buy the album.
it was my fourth autechre show, and all of them were worth every cent.
funny thing you mention 'the lighter'... every show was in the dark, except now, all these kids are taking photo's, shooting movies with their mobile (halogen lights flashing), quite disturbing, but well... eyes shut then, not much to see, but heavy beats to hear and feel.
ableton surely wasn't used. not a laptop in sight (at least with autechre).

I wont be at the DC show but I figured everyone may want to know that they will be finishing up the American leg of the tour at Sonar in Baltimore. Sunday Nay 29th.

taken at the geneva gig
look at the sexy UC33e
saw them in glasgow - amazing as usual, more beat driven this time (slight noise assault at the end)
i have mp3's of london & geneva - the geneva gig quality is rather nice

Hmm, It may end up being three times a charm for me. Have you been to Sonar before? Hows the venue's soundsystem?

Yea they did that the last time(9:30 club) It also made it easier to spot the idiots with the glow sticks. Autechre is chinstrocking/listen to how cool this sounds music not rave music.

sonor's rig was an old turbo floodlight system last time i was in there.
a bit whipped, too...some extra subs were brought in for the show that day which helped...the venue is literally a parking garage with walls built around it-
concrete and bare..not the prettiest place but i could actually see that really working
out nicely for autechre...hmm...i'll have to check out that one too!
thanks smu!

I saw Crackhause and Smith and Hack there in 03. It's been a while but I remember the sound being decent.
