can it be that it's non-existent at the factory? Akai, really?
or is there something else on the user end that ppl are unaware of? power?
just really strange that there is this much complaint about LED colors

Hey whats up I am new to these forums I'm looking forward to becoming an ableton user. Really the push is whats making me switch over to ableton from logic pro for beat making. I been using the ableton trial and I didn't know ableton live was this good. But I am worried about the quality control of the push pad leds and the rubber coating on the unit.
I seen this video today and it kinda turned me off cause i like my gear to be in good shape. Ive been noticing a lot of push units looking like this in videos.

i can see why the rubber coating is wearing out. a backpack is a poor choice for carrying a Push
every time he takes a step the backpack is rubbing against the edges...duh! nothing sits still inside a backpack
had he a proper hard-shell case he never would have made that video

That may not be the case here⦠I had a Push from the first deliveries a few months ago. It sat on my desk and inside of the month I had the same button peeling. They were coated with some type of plasticky shit that didn't hold up. Back it went! After waiting 2 1/2 months again, I am pleased to say that it's replacement has the same feel as the body rubbery finish on the buttons. Also I am quite fortunate to say my pad colors are actually quite pleasing. Not 100% but very good. As for now, I'm a happy camper..

Thanks and good luck to you.. Push is absolutely killer. I can't sit in front of it and not come away with a tune. It performs so many good working functions and it actually makes Live so much more fun.
Don't let a few subtle color variations or nay sayers ruin your party.

Hey if you guys are interested, we are trying to get a count of people who have good push controllers and those with LED variations. If you feel like voting maybe we can get ableton to recognize the issue and put forth a fix.
