Using 2 APC20s without combination mode? Is this possible?

Hi All,
I have 2 APC20s that I'm using for a show next week. I'd like to have the 2 machines control separately.
To make this statement more clear, one machine should always be on tracks 1-8 (unless I move it of course). The other machine should be able to start at 9-16 (as is normal), but I want to move it all the way up through tracks 28 WITHOUT the first APC20 following along as well.
Does anybody know how to do this?
