Is there a good alternative from simpler / sampler that will do time stretch? What are you guys using? Searching I found work arounds & complaints (going back to 2005) that these ableton samplers do not support it. I'm surprised it's not there too. I just want to quickly drop a sample into the sampler and have it maintain the length will changing pitch. I know I can do the work around (there are a few) that's a buzz kill for creative flow I assume ableton doesn't plan to add it or surely they would have by now.

its absurd that ableton hasnt placed this as a high priority. Its a fundamental part of their workflow. What they should do, is build the sampler functionality directly into clips, allowing more expressive playback while maintaining sync. Frustrating to see this lacking still.
