Ableton Forum

I know other people are having this problem on powerbooks also, I have read through some of the posts on this forum but cant seem to find a simple solution, there seems to be a lot of different things you can do that might help with it ? I have tried some optimizations, does anyone know what is causing these momentary cpu spikes which cause the sound to drop out / break up ?

I am using a 12" 867mhz powerbook with 640mb of ram, os 10.3.9, firewire 410 interface, live 4.1.2.
