MIDI input auto-select based on control surface

Post by ChiefNugget » Fri Jul 19, 2013 7:26 pm

I would love if newly added MIDI tracks defaulted to only the control surface from which the track was added. For example, add a track from Push and the MIDI input is set to Push instead of All Inputs. Also, would like if we could specify one surface or another as the default for added tracks, maybe even by instrument type. Example, drag and drop a "Synth Keys" instrument to add a new track and it defaults to my keyboard controller. Drag and drop a drum rack and it defaults to Push.

This is not a huge deal or anything, but plenty takes have been ruined by my cat jumping up on a controller that's armed but not in use!
I need a baby sit my boys and work the day job plug-in.

I could get on board with this, not sure how it would be implemented but a simple default would be a good start

I'm wondering if you could make blank MIDI tracks with the specific Inputs and save those off into the browser and then load them in when you need them.. I'll give it a shot
