i love apple updates, logic X, automaps, apple's AU policy, protools, bus tracks, rewire engine, rolling blackouts, a decent book, live 8, i5 processors, Boards Of Canada, San Jose's low crime rate, google chromecast.

It's a watered down Apple TV.

Yeah OK, that Google Chromecast device actually looks pretty cool. No word on an Australian release date yet though, I would have thought we could buy one from the US and it would still work over here (maybe without the Netflix subscription or whatever).

Any ideas on that anyone?

what's this "chromecast"? a wireless cable? I mean, what's the difference if i take my mac (or pc) and connect it to my tv screen via wire to watch a downloaded movie or a youtube video?
