("Inkey" enhancement for Push and Launchpad)
(Use fixed-pitch font like Courier for alignment)
The Pitch MIDI effect (or a separate Midi effect) should indicate the key center (maj) and allow transposition around the Circle of Fifths... (cw - in fifths, ccw in fourths)
(One could uses the +/- keys to transpose by steps, with the above indicator changing row configuration accordingly)
Also, a momentary button or use the upward arrow to set a major scale for a given key around the Cycle of fifths, scrollable by the l/r arrow keys in two rows (with Major (e.g. C) above and Minor (e.g. Am) below) , a downward arrow to cycle through the related natural, harmonic minor, and melodic minor for a given key.... the up arrow would return to the major....
<- Ab Eb F [C] G D A -> (Major) up arrow for major
<- Fm Cm Gm Am Em Bm F#m -> (Minor) down arrow to cycle through minors
<- G D A E B F# C# -> (Phrygian Mode- g,g# switchable depending on harmonic context
<---- L/R arrow keys ------>
A separate key could be used to just switch to the dominant 7th chord in the harmonic minor by changing the 7th while remaining in C Major or E Phrygian (where the g# is used to shift temporarily to the Am chord, and as the "tonic/final" for the Andalusian Cadence Am -> G -> F -> E) chord progression.
This functionality should be implemented on the computer keyboard as a user mode (M4L device?), since the right hand is then free to handle the melody/harmony "InKey", with the left hand handling the above modulation functions ....
If this has been done (either as script or M4L), please advise....
