Pitch problem when importing a sample into an Instrument

Hi. When I import a sample (eg. a one shot .wav bass note in D) into an Instrument Rack or a Simpler, its pitch is altered, eg. I have to play the C note on my midi keyboard in order to hear the original D note. And it's not always -2steps, it may vary if I import another sample set in another pitch.

I checked the original .wav file in order to verify if it's really a D note and if I use a built-in Instrument Rack preset like Piano & Keys then all the notes are played at the right pitch through my midi keyboard. So I believe it has something to do with either a blank instrument and/or some characteristic of my .wav file?

I'll appreciate some help here. Thanks in Advance, Ken.

Simpler's root key is C3, i.e. the sample won't be pitched when you play C3 (see 24.8.8 Pitch, Pan, Volume and Voices in the manual).

In Instrument Racks you have to edit the Key Zones to match your samples.

Thanx chrk, the Editor Key Zone is the way to go :-)
