Multiple audio outs for one VST possible?

Post by adzix » Mon Aug 26, 2013 10:50 am

So I'm coming from Cubase, where it's fairly easy to assign, say, 6 mono outputs for an instance of EZDrummer.
Is that possible within Live 9, too, and if it is... please tell me how.

Thanks in advance.

It is possible in Live 9 and is often used with VSTs like Kontakt and such. Simply create as many empty audio tracks as you want out from your VST. Then in the I/O section of each track open the 'Audio From' menu and select each individual out from your VST. That audio track will then have the sound from that VST channel coming through it, and can therefore be recorded and effected seperate from the others.

I'll give that a try right away.
Thank you very much.

Look at using an External Instrument on each track too, and if you're stacking sounds, put it all in an Instrument Rack so the same midi clip triggers each sound.
