Using the Push sequencer in time signatures other than 4/4

Is it just me or is visualizing any sequence on the Push that is not in 4/4 time really difficult? For example, if I was programming a beat in 7/8 time, I'd want there to be 7 active columns within the sequencer, not 8. That way the downbeat would always fall in the first column of the sequencer instead of haphazardly in different columns.

Surely someone has coded a user script or something for this issue...

That's somewhat unsolveable with the current hardware.

I mean, 5/4 and 7/8 would work, but what if you need 11 or 13 beats to a measure? There's only 8 columns...
