Glitches when playing Live live

I recently did my first live solo gig and during one two of the songs Live stopped playing for a few seconds and then once the glitch had passed it was fine, it is doing this too often now, any ideas on how to prevent this happening.

I'm using a G4 Powerbook 1Ghz 1Gb RAM, I record the audio into the programme live using the Ozonic audio interface.

A maximum of only 10 clips (4-32 bars length) play at once but the problem has occured early on in the songs when only 3/4 single clips are playing. Only 2/3 plugins are used as well.

I'm sure that running only this number of tracks and clips should not max out the system.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I want to get out gigging again but feal unprofessional taking out a system that I know will fail at some point in the performance! :(

Thanks

If you're using a Mac, make sure all your audio is in AIFF. I don't know why, but a friend had a glitching problem with Ableton on his G4 notebook. We were banging our heads against the wall trying to figure it out, and eventually found that it only happened on WAV files. Converting them to AIFFs solved the problem.

Spooky!

Someone will now chime in to tell us that sites that run on Windows servers load slower on Mac browsers.

:P

anyone else that can confirm this?. It would explain my problems.
Now i still need a fast converter that does all samples at once.
And what if it's true. Is it an apple , windows or ableton problem??.

On a clean custom tiger install, with latest Live version. I have NO glitches with WAV files. I run it non stop for about 1,5 hour. I'm still in test mode.

check out these first.

-processor highest.
-No sleeping options
-Disabled sudden motion sensor. (this is a good one)

try this. It might help.

I am working on eventually using Live with my Synth and a VSTi instrument and noticed similar glitches with the audio. I'll have to do more testing at band practice to see if I can get this to be fairly repeatble.

Laptop is:
Compaq Presario 3410US
Athlon XP-M 2800+
1280Mb memory (PC2700 256mb onboard and 1Gb PC2700 expansion SoDIMM)
80Gb 8Mb HD
Echo Indigo 24bit soundcard
M-Audio Uno USB->MIDI

Routing audio out from Synth to input of Indigo, output to Roland Amp and MIDI in/out from Synth to Laptop. Synth is Triton LE 61 key w/sampler.
