Why does my Midi Stop?

Strange this one... I'll boot up Live 9, start at plugin, play on my midi keyboard say for 30 sec, then the midi light on Live will stop flashing, no midi, no sound for about 5 seconds, then midi will restart forever, well until I shut down and start up again.

Anyone else had this problem?

Yeah this happens to me everytime i fire up a VSTI as well. Im not sure why it happens either. Its just become a part of my workflow.

Sounds like you're maxing out your computers processor, open an applications manager and see whats happening to the cpu usage (dont rely on the ableton built in one)
