Am I the only one who thinks the update, in beta form, is the bomb? Sequencing my virus with the updated step sequencers is crazy. And the P-locks...seriously. This is so cool.

I think it's definitely an unexpected leap in the right direction.
I'm loving some of the smaller less obvious tweaks too i.e loop functionality; being able to edit independently from what is playing.
I didn't think they'd ever implement p-locks or dual Windows and with these alone I feel that this release is a bit of a major milestone.
Couldn't be happier with the direction Ableton are going.

Yeah! The new Note step sequencer is brilliant. Fluidly implemented, GREAT fun. I come up with loops I've heard in my head but have not been able to fully recreate in Live . Add parameter locks to the steps and it reaches another level. Completely wicked.
I've noticed they've also added the options from the LCD screen when you hold down a step to the drum sequencing - namely - Step length and Fine length, as well as the automation tab for parameter locks. Delicious.

Yes 9.1 rocks. I suspect 9.1 represents what Abes were actually hoping to release in May this year.
If they could fix the browser it would be perfect...

My problem is : I find L9 less easy to use than L8 and so that puts me off buying Push.
While 9.1 has some excellent new features, it sadly doesn't fix the particular things I dislike about L9. The new features are no doubt great, but I wish they'd address the actual flaws. IE: The totalitarian browser.

That would be the one improvement I would like to see. I just received a Push today at work and am waiting out the clock to test this baby out...
I love the dual monitors. Is just so much quicker doing editing on tracks when you can see clips/arrangement and mixers all on screen. Dut making something like a new drum rack is painful because I have:
- Samples in the Live 9 library
- Samples in the Live 8 library
- Samples in my battery library
- Samples in my user library
All these different locations with different samples and no nice way to link it all. Then if I search for a SN or SNARE I get only 1/3 of my actual collection. I need some serious time to reorganize things.... again..... I have left that until I got Push because as I see I will have to arrange my life round this thing.
