Question regarding mapping session record to MPD 26

Hello all,
I was wondering if someone could help me out. I own an MPD 26. I would like to map the session record button in Ableton to the record button on my MPD so that it toggles on/off. I believe by default it is set to the arrangement record button. I have been successful in mapping the session record to my MPD but it only turns it on. How can I set it so the MPD record button toggles between on/off for the session record? Thanks very much.
