So last night this happened.



I had it powered up via usb only, turned it off and on, restarted computer, plugged it into an outlet. No dice, it was like this for about 15 minutes then the problem corrected itself. Not sure what that means, thankfully I bought it new, unthankfully it's only a few weeks old.

The dark side is over the "Bright" parameter

I have a similar issue. Mine isn't as dark as your left side but I do have the over bright right side!
Did u do the 1.13 firmware update? My lcd was fine before the update! now it seems uneven with brightness. I spoke to ableton but they didn't help!!!!

Would ableton warranty out this defect? Everytime I think about taking this push plunge reading threads like this make me hold back.

im almost positive it isn't a firmware issue. bc it happened again last night and i tapped on the casing next to the lcd window and the leds on that side would flicker on and off and pulse too everytime i tapped it. im going to return it for a new one it's only two weeks old :/

this has happened to my machine only the left side is bright and the right is dim. this is a terrible problem and makes music making a chore. every time i want to look at information on the right side of my screen i have to get up out of my seat. think how many times that would be during a song-making session and you will understand how this defect makes this machine severely handicapped. ableton please stand behind your product and fix this problem.

This happened to me once I upgraded to 9.1 + the firmware update.. Been trying to figure out how to, or is it possible to adjust the contrast on the LCD in some way?? I think the firmware update might have been what changed my LCD display settings..left side is brighter, and gets dimmer to the right.. Just like Spacehonky, i now have to get up to look at the right side of the LCD.. Everything was fine before the update..

Was there any update to these problems?
I'm wondering if a loose cable could be at fault..
