I just got a used Axiom 49 (1st gen) and I've been looking into the Ableton Live 9 documentation on it. In lessons inside Live says the presets 18 - 20 on the controller are mapped to native Live. I'm using 19 right now to try and get the macros of an instrument rack to respond via the blue hand. It works sort of, but the encoders and Live's macros are inverted so that my top row on the controller is moving the bottom macros.

I've looked at the Live 9 manual and all I get is a basic setup guide like that of the in-application lessons. The Axiom's user guide conflicts saying that 17 is the preset for Ableton. When I change to preset 17, I get erratic responses on the encoders...

So I started digging into the Live User Remote Scripting, creating my own folder with the copied UserConfiguration.txt file and it still doesn't make sense...should I really be trying to change the channel or the preset (on the Axiom), or is the issue with the script in Ableton Live?

Axiom owner here, it is a well known issue - I have just got used to it haven't bothered switching them around. If you search the forum there are threads regarding this. I think the solution involved the Enigma editor software and renumbering the axioms encoders to match Lives.
