Can I use an external FX device with a midi keyboard + iPad?

I like the look of the Arturia iSEM synth :

But if I were to use that with a midi keyboard, have I any way of using, say, an Alesis AirFX controller? (this has RCA in/outs).... or is that kind of thing just off limits to me now?
