operator and envelope automation

Post by peeddrroo » Tue May 17, 2005 11:36 am

ok, here's my prob:
say you've made some envelope automation on one of the oscillators level in a clip, so that (for instance), level of osc C is 10% of the max value.
if you stop the clip with the automation, operator will stay with osc C at 10% of its max value, thus the sound wont change.
BUT, if you start recording a new clip, then the automation is "cancelled", and osc C level will jump to its max value, which can lead to a very rough change in the sound texture.

i think that new clips should start recording with all automated parameters in their current state. or at least find a way not to have sudden jump in the sound when you start recording. this behaviour does not make sense live-wise.

thanks!
