cue / solo button not working properly for me?

Really not sure why this is happening, I'm using Live 9 --- its probably a setting on the panel i'm missing, but when you go into session view you're able to switch between solo and cue functions, you know? I can't exercise this option - the entire box is just gray.. so I can only solo tracks instead of using them to cue. Any ideas?

gaaaahhhh just figured it out. It does this automatically when you have it through the same output
