hi to everybody,
I use ableton live on a notebook acer travelmate2700 (pentium 4 3gb-512 mb ram) with a sound-card bca2000 of behringer.
in ableton use a channel audio for the base and another for the voice with fx in real-time.
the files wavs of the bases are of 40\50 mb and at times I feel some micro interruptions!!!, I have read on the manual that exists the function ram that directly loads the file in the ram,
does this resolve the problem?, have you had similar problems?
excuse me my bad English

have you tried it ?

loading a track into ram should in sense stop the drop outs , but as long as your cpu and ram hit at the time of loading the track into ram is not to high. 512 meg of ram is ok if you dont have a lot of vsts/effect going...

also if your getting interruptions make sure you dont have firewalls, virus scanners and all that crap running in the task bar... you want your ram/cpu free from all other process when using live.... when the drop outs happen check what is going on with your computer, is the cd rom starting up or is something else going on...
