Why?

I can't record the automation while Automap is enabled? Seriously? The VSTI's are automapped already but there's no way to record automation. Everything I read says to disable automap?

So,...what is the point of Automap?

Even more bizarre? Works like a dream in FL Studio. I never would've believed that. I would've thought that the SLMKII would've been awesome with Ableton and bad with FL (using Automap). Come to find out, it's totally the opposite.

I had this working last week (with a Remote SL 25 though). I just changed up some of my Automap configuration and can't for the life of me get it to work again... I was really stoked to have automation recording live into MIDI clips in Session View. I perform a show where I jam everything in session view, and having automation from automap automatically recording (lol lots of "autos" in there!) would be ideal. I got this to work before, and I'm really confused as to what's different now... I shot Novation a message asking them about this.

Anybody on this forum have any ideas? Everything I'm seeing when searching now says "gotta stop automap", but almost all of it is pre-Live 9, AKA before Ableton added a bunch of session view midi clip automation features.

Lol whoops that was simple. I had accidentally disabled the "Record Automation" button in session view. That's working now!
