Hi There,
I have only one preset under 'Electric' Bass and also under Mallets!
Surely this can't be right
Any ideas?

Hi, here's what I do for bulk searches.
1. Enter "Bass" in to the search line at the top of the directory manager.
2. In Categories select "all results". It's going to take a while but every instance of "Bass" will show up.
3. Next right click the "Name" bar, this will show a mini window with "Type", "Date modified", "Size", "Rank", "Place".
4. Select "Type", you notice all possible hits are listed include samples, clips, racks, presets, etc.
5. Click the "Type" header, the list should then sort A-Z, click again and you got Z-A.
6. Scroll down the list to your presets (*.adv) or racks (*.adg). You should see many more listed.

Oh, one more thing.
Under "Places" add any folder that may hold your non-factory instrument, affects, presets, samples, clips, etc.
Ableton will add those to the search list.
