Hi, all,

Well, I did it again; I ordered a Push. (I had returned the first about 5 months ago because the RGB pads were so bad. This time, I gave the guys at the store permission to open it up and check it before sending (no point in having to return it again, and they are nice enough to do it... if the RGB's are bad again, I'll wait till the next shipment and try again...) But hopefully, it will be on its way Monday to arrive in a week or so .....

That said, my Maschine Studio arrives on Tuesday (I had wanted to use it as a Live Controller, but Maschine is broken as a control surface for 9.1; NI tells me they're aware of the problem and working on it) Still, I am going to put my Mk2 (perfect condition, with Maschine 2 and a Decksaver) up on Ebay for sale, unless someone here might be interested (pm me if interested). I didn't want to buy Studio, but those LCD screens kept staring at me.....

So I'm really excited about the Studio, but am looking forward to Push, especially if/when AudioModder for Maschine 2 becomes available.....

I had been an Ableton Live guy for a long, long time, but my Maschine Mk2 (and now Maschine 2.0) has recently blown me away, especially the libraries and workflow; I am getting Push primarily for the matrix (Launchpad and L95 work great, but the buttons are really too small and the lack of touch sensitivity is an issue for me now (it wasn't to begin with)....

Of course, NI will upgrade the template for 9.1 the day my Push arrives......

All my life, I've been on the bleeding edge of technology... (sigh).....

Update: The Push arrived, and the RGB's were off, but the calibration tool worked fine, and my Push looks like the ads.. (I just wish the side LED's were brighter....)
But the big deal was the matrix, and the calibration tool worked well indeed for me....

Not sure but it does work well.

I only had a couple of pads slightly off colour but I did wait well over 6 months to see what the initial thoughts were and with only about 5 complaints on the forums I thought it seems a pretty isolated issue.

Used the tool on the few pads that had an issue and now cannot pick which ones ever looked different.

I just listed my Push on eBay. Apparently I'm one of those guys who just cannot connect the dots on this thing. I also have a Maschine Studio and I love it, love it, love it. The workflow for me is just more intuitive. I realize that Live 9 and Maschine 2.0 are apple and oranges, but most of what I do winds up in Logic Pro X anyway. Also, the Studio screens are drop dead gorgeous, the screens on the Push, well they remind me of my first computer screen where you can count the dots, and very bland. If there is a Push 2, then I may give it a go again, but I'll pass for now.

I don't think you will be disappointed with the Maschine Studio. I do wish it was a bit smaller, but the jog wheel, which I thought I would hate, I really like having it, plus you can clicky it to select, which is really nice. I hope the next rendition of Push will have some similar features as the new Studio does, and it just has to integrate better with the software. This is where NI nailed it. The integration between the hardware and software is just superb.

The Studio arrived, and it is fricken Gorgeous. I loved my Mk2, but this is SERIOUS! So many small improvements - of course, you can do everything with the Mk2, but the Studio is so much more fun,... and saves time in workflow (auditioning in the browser, for starters)..

No denying the Maschine screen is a thing of beauty, but when it comes to Push and its use case I feel like it provides sufficient quality to get the job done. The lack of a sample view, and editing, via Push is why I think it gets away with having a sub par screen. That being said I'd like to see a version of Push that would have the ability to view/edit waves, thus necessitating a more robust screen. Ya digg.

Rather expensive @ €400 for 2 tiny screens & a jog wheel.

I'd find it hard to justify that to my other half.
