When Live is set to sync externally to a Midi clock input, I have found very strange behavior in my IAC Midi busses.
If a Live channel strip is turned on, and the output is an IAC Midi bus, Live continually sends an All Notes Off message out through the bus. Each message corresponds to the incoming Midi sync. (perhaps someone can elucidate me that it's the same message with a different name under Midi Monitor, which I use to see the messages)
I can set the channel strip to "no input" and change the monitoring behavior, but it's the same result. Only muting the channel has any effect.
This has been driving me crazy, as I've attempted to do MIDI mapping while Live was externally synced, and of course, the mapping went apeshit because of hundreds of All Notes Off messages being send. Then I would get these damn midi feedback loops within the IAC busses, somehow catalyzed by this process.
Now that I disable external sync, I can program my devices with IAC Buses

I am using Traktor to send Midi clock. Behavior is the same through Traktor's virtual midi bus or midi clock sent through IAC busses.
