Yes! It is a monumental, and seemingly unnecessary, annoyance to have to set the key every time you open a project...! These added steps aren't very conducive to live performance! Please fix!

This has been my number 1 wish since getting Push. Drives me nuts opening an older project and not knowing what scale Push was set to when I created it.

I actually think Live should have a global scale mode, that Push interfaces with. So not only does Push have the correct scale on restart but the project can be moved to a system without a Push and in the piano roll editor note that are not in scale are marked (greyed out?) in some way.

Have you guys tried the ClyphX script?

It seems to me that user-setting the default scale in Push is something that we can reasonably ask for as a feature for future builds of Push. It can come as a firmware upgrade with 9.2

But it seems that ClyphX is a very effective way of saving the current scale in a project.

If we want more, we need to be more specific. What do we actually want ask Ableton to do?

- Develop its own scripting tool for Live, thus displacing ClyphX but essentially the same thing?
- Incorporate ClyphX into Live?
- Or is there some other, better way of doing this? How would it look?

It would be useful to have a good answer to this, especially to the third question, if you want Ableton to take the suggestion seriously.

Yep, would love a way to set and forget chromatic mode, without having to do this on each power up.
