I think it was possible to place your mouse cursor somewhere in your waveform in both arrangement and session view (when it was playing), to jump to a certain position. However, with the current version of Live I don't seem to be able anymore? Can somebody help me with this?

For the arrangement view, no matter ... I found it myself ... alt & ctrl did the trick. But for the clip view, it doesn't work ... how do I jump to a certain place?

Just hold control and place the playback cursor where you want. It's identical for arrangement and clip view.
