That I could hold down Add instrument or device, and the grid would illuminate in groups based on types of instruments and devices.
They were all just the defaults, plus embedded vst's.
When you tapped one of those buttons, it instantly added that instrument/device without having to scroll to it on the display. Then you were able to hit Browse for presets of that device
...weird dream??

Damn, and here are all my dreams filled with naked ladies. Probably a sign I am not using Push enough.

I know. When I woke up, and turned to my side to tell my dream, my Push was still soundly asleep.

Why stop there? The presets could also be distributed on the grid, no?!
Of course this was a weird dream, because all of this would only make sense, if all the pads had tiny screens embeded telling you what you are about to select.

Well, it was a fast and easy to remember process. And the devices were grouped by colors. I distinctly remember wanting an arbitrary effect, holding the Add button, and seeing groups of colored buttons. Then tapping one, letting go, and the effect was there.
I don't recall exactly how many Audio Effect devices there are, but I'm sure it's up there.
After I added a device, I'd hit Browse, which jumped to the directory for presets involving that device.
That was all in my dream, I kid you not hahaha.
It sounds like a very fast workflow!
I think it is my dream brain expressing frustration for the meandering long assed process of scrolling through new devices one would add. It is almost a physical reaction. It makes a lot of sense as an instrument.
My conscious brain says, this would get in the way of performance haha. This is where you discern between a Tap and a Hold. I don't know really. I'd love to see a similar actual implementation of such a concept! It'd be very very fast. Maybe there needs to be a Push Editor to fine tune peoples unique workflows and preferences.

lol
I actually thought dream meant, here is a cool feature I thought up, that probably will never be implemented.
I used to dream video games I had played all day, maybe the same will happen with Push. How many hours a day do you play with it, ehm I meant practice of course

My most memorable video game dreams are Donkey Kong Country, and Street Fighter II.
I'd wake up only to realize the game hasn't been on in hours, and it's dark and cold and I am under blankets. It really was a shock to realize I was Not playing the game haha
Then I simply felt like all the progress and experience I had gained.. was not only not real, but I had to figure out a way to separate the dreamt experience from what the genuine game actually was.
Same thing happened with instant messaging back when I was heavy into that. Having interesting conversations with real people, except it never really happened haha
