Beginner - Visuals synced to Live

I have never used Max before, but I have heard of people using it and creating a visual aspect to their performances that sync to the music. I am now starting to play shows, and this is something I've been wanting to do for a while. I would like to know if anyone knows of some resources for beginners into this type of thing. Thanks!

Anyone? I'd also love to know about this. I don't do live shows, but I have a handful of tracks I wouldn't mind playing to a close circle of friends, having a visual aspect to the show would only add to the experience. Visuals are very important to me, this would be awesome if I could control my own visuals with M4L.

I can help no problem. Are you looking to render generative visuals inside of Live that sync to your music? Or trigger video clips and effects that sync to your music? You can use M4L devices, or you can use information about the music to control an external VJ app.
