Do you know that doing what you wana do (sampling part on a song), it's
illegal ......
it's like stealing it, you got to have the writer permission to do that....

Not if it's for non-commercial use.

No mather if it's commercial or not, it's just out of respect
for the author or the artist......
We are all in it for the music, we should respect the artist and there work.....
and it start by not taking something without asking first.....

Oh for chrissakes... Can you be a little more anal? Santana is hardly going to die, just because some little dude fiddles around a bit with one of his crappy songs for his own amusement. It's not like he is being abused for some multi million Coldcut record. Stop being so goddamn holy!!

I have no problem with sampling as long as the original artist is credited. As a matter of fact Oye Como Va is actually an older tune that Santana's rock version helped make more popular. Now if someone did a hit remix of Santana's version it would only help promote Santana's original. Its a win-win situation - so whats the problem!
The only people who have a problem with sampling are all the talentless, money grabbing record company lawyers for whom this has just become another excuse to make money. The vast majority of artists actually appreciate it when someone pays homage to them by making a good remix out of samples taken from a long forgotten tune. Ofcourse, if it's a crap remix, that's another story!
