hello all,

Yesterday I was playing my live set, I always choose asio as my driver type and then I choose my soundcart as my device, In my case it is the mackie spike xd-2 interface.
Today it wont work anymore !!! ... just like that ( note that I didn't changed anything !! )

When I want to choose asio, my computer shows a message ;

"failed to open usb app. xd-2" ...

I can't play via asio anymore, I downloaded the latest drivers from the website, it still doesn't work !!!
I am really really sad !!!
It's not a pc kind off thing... my pc works well, all my software is legal
and my interface is only 2 or 3 months old


my system ;

AMD athlon(tm) xp 2400 +
clock 2.00 GH
448MB ram

on my laptop ( or other computer) I have the same problem !!! so it is'nt my computer..
please can somebody help me ??? because I tried everything now for 3 day's I going nuts ... I don't know anymore... I really want to play asio again

Hi djorvin clain,

do you have another audio application that can handle ASIO to check if it is a problem with the ASIO driver or not?

Please also send me the log file of Live. It is located here:
"C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Ableton\Live 4.1\Preferences\Log.txt"

no, I only work with usb controllers at this moment,

oopz I read this wrong I guess. sorry...

yezz, I tried it with reason , no problem at all !! Asio works fine !!

I have allready other problems and this is very serrious...
My clips wont play right anymore... If i choose bar or 1/4 or ....it wont work anymore !!! audio and midi clips , both of them !!!
this is since my asio don't work anymore, I'm really really sad now, I can't finish my songs... I can't use it anymore if my clips don't play in realtime...
this can't be possible
