I am having trouble cueing songs with headphones in live 8. I am using a Focusrite Scarlett 6i6 for my audio interface, and in the preferences i have that set as my audio input and output device. In the output configuration I have 1 (mono) & 2 (mono), 1/2 (stereo), and 3/4 (stereo) all selected. And in the master track cue out I have the 3/4 (stereo) selected. I have my audio interface hooked up to two speakers from the line outputs 1 and 2 on the back of the interface using TRS cables. Then I have my headphones plugged into the front of the interface. This sounds like the proper procedure to me but when I have a track playing and I have the cue selected on another track, when I try to play the cued track I hear both the cued and non-cued tracks through my headphones and the speakers. It seems like ableton isn't differentiating the line outputs and the headphone output as different sources so it plays both tracks through both sources. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it so I can cue with my headphones?

Is there software included with the interface which lets you change the routing?

Chances are that the headphone output might be summing all outputs instead of listening to strictly 1/2 or 3/4.

Two things:
Inside Live
- Activating cue on a track does not mute it to the master, you have to do that manually, or the track will still play out to your mains.

- Yes, the software for changing the routing of the interface exists.

You'll need to set up two mixes with their respective output sections set to 1/2 and 3/4, deactivate outputs on mixtabs you don't use. Factory defaults activates multiple outputs on all mixes.
Add a DAW 3/4 to the mixer input section.
Pull the faders or mute input of DAW 3/4 on the mains mixer tab, pull the fader or mute input of DAW 1/2 on the cue mixer tab.

Mind that the headphones outputs are hardwired: HP 01 listens to line outputs 1/2, HP 02 listens to line outputs 3/4.
