What constitutes ages (along with the previous question of which OS you are using).
Does it behave fine when you finally connect?
Are you connecting through a WIFI network or adhoc?

not using a had hoc it worked very quickly last week it took over 10 minutes windows 8 64 bit daw this week windows 8 does this quite often stalling back to normal today

stephen its pretty essential to use java6...
