Is there a way to have a pre-count when I press the Record button on push truing to overdub a previously recorded midi clip?
Thanks,

Sorry can you help me more?
I can't understand how to do this with only the Push Hardware. Push have only Record and Play.

play button is also the stop button.
in manual is written:
"14.6 Recording with Count-in
A count-in for recording can be set in Live’s Record/Warp/Launch Preferences. When the
Count-In preference is set to any value other than None, Live will not begin recording
until the count-in is complete. The Arrangement Position elds in the Control Bar display
the count-in in orange as bars-beats-sixteenths.
The count-in runs from negative bars-beats-sixteenths (beginning at -2.1.1., for example,
with a Count-In setting of 2 bars) up to 1.1.1., at which point recording commences.
Note that count-in recording does not apply when Live is synced to external MIDI devices
or being used as a ReWire slave."

Hi mate,
I know, I'm an ableton Teacher in my city, I read the manual maybe seven times...
It's not that the problem.
If I press record on a empty clip (with push or with the session record button) the count in work really well!
If I press the session record button on live when a clip is already there (so overdubbing a pre-existent clip) the count in work!
If I press the record button on Push overdubbing a existing clip there is no count in!
I hope that I've been more clear now,
Thanks anyway for the help.

Thanks mate

Please tell me if it's only my case or it's a common issue/feature

okay, same error/behavior/bug/feature whatever here.
There is a workaround. U need to disable the the function "start playback when hit record" (i dont know if its called like this in the english version english, i am from germany). Just click right mouse on the arrangement record button and disable these function. Then u can use F9 to to enable and disable it (or maybe u have another controller like apc40 where u can use the record button). Then u can hit the record button on push to have a count in.
Maybe u have found out this solution by yourself already, gimme some feedback if that helped you
But maybe we should write to support, that there should be the possibility to do so. (like pressing on push shift+record to arm the track or something similar)
