Push glitches audio when changing record arm (Solved)

Sometimes when I'm working with a set in Session view and I have several midi tracks set up, I like to use the exclusive track record arm buttons to switch between different VSTs for playing. I usually put Push in Volume mode to do this.

Several times when I am doing this I get a brief popping glitch each time I hit the record arm button for the next track using Push to switch from one plugin to another. It glitches before I even send a midi note, just by hitting a different record arm button on Push. If you are reading this, I hope I'm being clear enough.

I'm not sure which is glitching, other audio tracks that are playing or other midi tracks that are playing, or the midi track I was just sending midi to, or the next track I've just armed to send midi to.

I'm currently on 9.1.1, but I've noticed this problem on other versions. Plus it's intermittent. When it's occurring, I can recreate it at will: push a record arm button -> pop, push a record arm button -> pop. Other times it's just not happening at all.

Anybody else see this?

I created a support ticket for this and Ableton got back to me in a few days. (Why are so many people bitching about Ableton support?)

They suggested:
n order to solve the problem you could try to disable "Reduced Latency when monitoring" in Live“s menu, under Options. This setting is saved within a Live Set.
This fixed the problem, although now I have higher latency when recording. Oh well, that's better than the glitching, and I can turn it back on if I need it.
