So one of the best things I envisioned when I bought push is to be able to hotswap my MIDI drum kits while Live on stage.

Is there a way to Delete the Factory content, replace it with my own subfolder structure (ie: Instrument > Key > Sample) and utilize the Push browser WITHOUT some M4L bullshit or using some hacking script thing?

Wouldn't it be great to browser and hotswap only the drum racks your needing for a live performance?

Wouldn't it be even better if it mirrored the Live9 Browser while using Push?

Why does Ableton still not want this functionality?

It's been almost a year since I last looked for this info so I apologize if this post is redundant but I still don't see the info I'm looking for readily available.

Without editing scripts you have to comply to live library folder structure.

How come I feel it could but doesn't..............

It's def can't be a issue of "it can't be done".........

I'd totally say I'd not buy this piece of gear if I didn't already own one for year.

It can't be too much to ask to be able to browse my own Drum Racks and only my own drum racks.

Can I pay extra to be able to delete the factory content? Please........

I can now browse Places! wow could't do that before......

Why the hell is the left arrow on the right button and the right arrow on the left button?

More importantly : Why can't Push ready my Sample .wav's?

Despite my better judgement Push's browsing is good enough for my Live Sets.......so I'm good

I had this idea today which would be perfect for me, but terrible for most people. I just thought I'd mention it here anyway haha.

The idea is to browse Devices horizontally rather than vertically! I'd love to especially see a list of Audio Effects devices horizontally (using a knob to scroll left and right) and quickly press one of the Eight buttons to load an audio effect, rather than skimming way down to Saturator and dialing in then pressing the button.

But for folder browsing, their current method is pretty good.

Tag browsing would be better. I'd love if they completely stole Maschine's organization method. You're even able to load 'Groups' and entire 'Sets', which would be similar to loading a saved channel (perhaps even with clips!), or live set.

So what is the fastest way to get to your user samples into a drum rack at this point in time? I'm talking about scripts/hacks that let you bypass all the factory content .

I add my sample folders to places, the folder tree depends on how you like to use them.

I own an MK2 and a push. I haven't turned on the MK2 since I got the Push, but only because I really only use Ableton and obviously the Push integrates with Live better than the Maschine. That being said, the Push still feels like a beta product. It's missing so many features and workflow enhancements and the community has had to pick up the slack with 3rd party scripts...Eventually the Push will be an amazing controller, but it's just not there yet.

That's the impression that I am getting from reading the forums. I only use Live, so I would probably do the same thing if I had both controllers. It's really a conundrum. Maschine has all the functionality that I want, but I really don't want to deal with the software. Push integrates the best with the software that I love, but lacks some of Maschines' functionality.

Beta product or Work in Progress? No product I know is perfect or complete. Do you think that there won't be another iteration of Cubase? Is Maschine software perfect? Hell no. There are so many threads on the Maschine forum where people are whining about it's lack of Arrangement Timeline I've lost count.

The concept of Push is without a doubt brilliant and inspired. It's by no means perfect but it has changed my workflow and I haven't had as much fun making music since I was experimenting with drum machines & a 4-Track in a band at Art School a decade and a half ago.

Maybe the next Native Instrument product will be called Maschine Studio Final 1.0 (Deluxe Pro Edition)

Beta/Work In Progress...whatever you want to call it. Most of the issues everyone has can/will be fixed with software updates but it's a little annoying to drop quite a bit of money on something, only to realize it can't do that simple thing you wanted to do...Ableton is always so close to achieving something amazing but they almost always fall short. Look at something simple like the community's custom mapping project. You shipped hardware to be able to control Live's devices with no mouse/monitor, yet don't allow access to all of the device's parameters? Yeah, that makes sense.

Of course, but there has been a trend in the past few years for people to accept crippled software/hardware...Even synth manufactures are shipping their $2500 synths in a crippled state, promising full functionality in future updates (Prophet 12 anyone?). Everyone is eager to announce and release the latest thing, and when it finally arrives to the users, it's ultimately a buggy let down. I'm just growing tired of this mindset that everything can be fixed "later" or in "post production".

ok I can't argue with that.

However, don't you think it's a wonderful thing that we CAN bend it to our will? The things that are missing or broken from Maschine are as is.

Maybe it's because I grew up in an era where hacking things (like Acorn BBC games) was the norm.
