hello i would find a way to trigger an audio clip whith a note played in a drum rack...
that way i could sequence samples conserving the warp capability (tempo sync loop length)
for things like reversed samples....
it would be great!!
so if someone can help... thanks

Absolutely. Just open an empty drum rack and drag any sample you want onto the drum rack pads.
If you mean that you already have a drum rack with a pattern, and you want an additional sample to trigger every time the snare hits, then open a second drum rack and route the MIDI from the first rack to the second. To do this, make sure the inputs are visible (Ctrl-Alt-I) and change the "MIDI From" dropdown on the second track to the track you want to 'steal' MIDI from:
You can also have a Rack made up of other Racks, so you might look into that too. Just drag a rack onto the pads just like a sample.

thanks for answer but i already know that
what i mean is to launch an audio clip as "an audio clip"
like when you clic on the play button of that clip....
in example say you have an audio clip whith a reverse crash sample and you want to trigger it whith the note comming from a drum rack. that way you can sequence the sample and the time warping is fixed... so if you increase the tempo, the reversed sample is still in the time (say 1/2 bar).
i hope i m clear enough (my english not very good)
so if someone has an idea? it can be possible whith max4live but i'm realy not into max prog so...
thanks!!

Does it have to be an audio clip? Maybe there is an easier solution. Surely that can't be the only way to preserve warp capability.

The problem will be, that in an audio track with an audio sample, the mixer menue has only audio from and not midi from, you cannot trigger an audio sample with a midi note from whereever.
But you can put your audio sample, which you wanna trigger, into your existing drumrack and trigger it with a note like you do it with your drum samples. Where is the problem?
You can put every kind of audio sample into the pads of your drumrack: drumsamples, synthsamples, padsamples and so on. There is no limitation.

yes true but.... no warping...........
so... there is no max programer?
sure you can do it with max4live...
so right now the only thing to do is do it with impulse and adjust the length of the sample with the time streching option, to match with tempo variation...
it doesn't mater when your not in a live situation where you do some improvisation stuf
was just wondering how to do it!...

yep midi yoke by the way..

you could just midi-map the audio clips to your controller's keys/pads. no need for a drum rack.
just go into midi map mode, select audio clip, and hit a key/pad to map it.
each audio clip can be triggered by a different midi note, and can be velocity sensitive.
