live 2.01 and VST

Hi there,
I'm unable to set VST folder preferense to my Cubase VST5.1. Live freeze up on me, as it goes thru my list of VST including VSTi. This does not happen with v1.5.2. there are two VST-plugins in my steinberg folder, but none work with Live v2.0.1. one says the the Vaz2010.dll is the cause, the other one just plain freeze up my WinXP. cont+alt+del enables me to shut down Live and restart it again. graphics are also flickering when I move around the mouse on screen.
my gear:
asus a7v133c with a Athlon XP 2100+, 512Mb sdram tntm64 graphic card. sound cards are rme 96/8 and a SB Live.all with the latest updates available incl. winXP & Win xp office.
am I alone with these problems ?
