Synth Multisamples?

I'm quite new to Ableton and Sampler and all that, but I was kinda' surprised not to see any users sharing multisamples of their hardware synth presets. Aside from a few commercial libraries, all I really found was this.

Anyway, I have an old (60's) Hammond Tonewheel Generator in the garage. If I can get a decent preamp, I think I'm going to try and sample each tonewheel separately. That way the overtones can be mixed digitally. It could take me a few months to get around to it, but if it turns out alright, I'll share my results.

:)

Multisampling of HW synthesizers is a real art. Anything beyond raw waveforms...like actual patches...requires a lot of preplanning. Unless you have software to do it for you (Redmatica RIP) it's a thankless task.

Should you include modulations, filter sweeps, loop them or leave that to the recipient, etc. How many keys to sample for how many seconds, at how many velocities and articulations (legato?), etc.

Yeah, I guess it's all about how far you want to take it or what you want a particular multisample to be. I was really only looking for a good/interesting set of overtones to get the most out of sampler.

Legato is an interesting point. Is it even possible to sample a HW synth's legato?

I am also looking for RAW waveforms , especially from Roland ROMPlers such as the JV series.

Samples those is quite easy with Redmatica (discontinued but I still have it) Autrosampler or maybe SampleRobot for PC?

Like to share ? PM me :D
