Here's something that I recently discovered. When you group tracks in live, the group output level affects the level of the individual channel post fader sends.
This isn't a very intuitive way for the busses to work. This means that each group essentially has it's own send mixes, whose outputs are controlled like a VCA from the group fader. Wouldn't it be simpler (and more intuitive) to have the sends work separately from the groups?
If you change the output of the channels separate from the group then the group fader no longer applies, so it's clearly tied to that. It seems like this is more complicated than it needs to be. The send should be taken from the channel itself, no matter where it's output is routed.
I think this should be changed. What does the Live community think?
