I read what Ableton said and I don't have out of memory situations so I have stayed 32bit so far - no probs.
Just installed Omnisphere and in a dialog with their support they recommend going 64bit (as I guess their AU with 8 instances uses a bit of memory). I have an oldish iMac (2009) - i7 2.8Ghz with 12GB RAM and it's obviously limited to using 4GB.
The only other plug in I use is Superior Drummer 2 that has a 64bit version.
Anyone else using 64bit L9 with Omnisphere? OK?

Yep. Works a treat. no problems (on Windows 64 that is)
Omnisphere isn't a "huge" memory hog tho as many of the patches are actually quite small waveforms or sample library's. It can be a CPU hog with many instances but I never experienced "out of memory" issues under 32bit until I got into the NI Komplete stuff and mainly just Kontact once you start loading pianos and strings.
Still, with all the RAM you have why not. You can keep both the 32 and 64 bit versions of your plugs and Live just in case anyway.
