I know you were joking I was just bitterly reminiscing:)

Anyway I was disappointed at the bugginess and lack of controller support.

I'd rather Ableton implemented the same kind of audio clip editing.
Also I think the histogram editing is underwhelming.
And if you did want it it's not too hard to make in M4L.

The comparison of bitwig one IS reasonable to live in it's current state. They have had years to get it right.
So, bBitwig has had roughly 3 years while Ableton has had 14. Yeah that's comparable all right.
I can't let this go by without saying something, I know I shouldn't but I will anyhoo....

Didn't these guys work with Ableton and break off to build the "Savior of an app" Bitwig? that being the case there is absolutely NO excuse, THEY SHOULD HAVE GOT IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME!!, after all they can't claim ignorance nor inability being part of this organization they were privy to the inner workings(and coding) of Live ond all of it's shortcomings BEFORE they even started coding their "NEW" and "INNOVATIVE" product even being coded for cross platform they had plenty of time INCLUDING their experience here.

That should end the argument but I know for a fact it wont.

Note: I do expect a thrashing for this...

edit, n/m, I don't want to get caught up in this again.

Everyone should be entitled to their opinion. I don't think that just because it doesn't "agree" with someone that it's automatically not valid.

All I know is you can spend over a Decade creating something and it still might not turn out as expected.

for example EXHIBIT "A" :

Reaper? Tracktion? I can see someone getting in on the ground floor with those. Though reaper doesn't update as much as it once did, it's still a bargain even if you buy the commercial license. And if you make less than 20k with it, it's 60 bucks.

Bitwig is 400 bucks. Modulation/their synth better be the most important thing to you for that money.
You got something there, if it were me and I spent $400 I would be a little defensive myself and dive into these threads in defense of Bitwig just so I wouldn't feel jipped and maybe hope that I didn't bet on a dead horse out of the gate(or one badly limping as in this case).

I know there are those who genuinely feel they have a winner in Bitwig(now and later as the hotfixes and updates get sorted out) but anyone with experience with any Software available in comparison WOULD be a little let down at the moment...if they were honest with themselves and everyone else for that matter.

But that doesn't matter H2only. I was being shelved into the "since beta" mold. Which would still be way too long, but I digress......

Too late, your already blocked quoted in my response... should I edit that for you?

Whether the validity of an opinion is agreed with is past that at this point but as long as this thread is alive there will be some fact checking of these claims be flung about. It's not your fault you were right.

I figured a terse response was coming anyway.
